 2 DQ 1

The term imago Dei alludes most in a general sense to two things: first, God’s own selfcompletion through mankind; and second, God’s consideration for humanity. To state that people are in the image of God is to perceive the unique characteristics of human instinct which enable God to be made show in people. At the end of the day, for people to have the acknowledgment of their being in the image of God implies that they are the animal through whom God’s arrangements and purposes can be made known and completed; people, along these lines, can be viewed as co-makers with God . The ethical ramifications of the tenet of imago Dei are obvious in the way that in the event that people are to cherish God, at that point people must love different people, as each is an outflow of God. The human’s resemblance to God can likewise be comprehended by standing out it from that which does not image God, like, creatures who, supposedly, are without reluctance and the limit with respect to moral reflection and development. People contrast from every single other animal on account of their normal structure – their ability for consideration and free basic leadership. God’s manifestation through human beings is clearly evident through care for mankind. It is through these concepts that the idea of healthcare was established to care for health needs of people (Cherry, 2017).

This is important to health care because being in the nursing role, patients count on our care in the most vulnerable times of their lives. Often, these times require compassion and a very personal touch of care and love in order for the patients to heal and recover. The imago Dei is relevant to health care through each nurse and healthcare member. Providing love through spiritual care is a huge part in recovery for a lot of patients.
